Applied System Engineering
Field of study: Mechatronics
Programme: Mechatronic systems engineering (ME8)
Semester: II
ECTS credits: 2
Course instructor: dr hab. inż. Wacław Kuś
Course description

During the lectures the basics techniques of Product Lifetime Management(PLM) are discussed. One of the lectures is dedicated to the rapid prototyping including additive manufacturing techniques. The test procedures with use of “in the loop” methods, like HIL, SIL, PIL (xIL) are described.

The parts of PLM documentation for chosen mechatronic system are created during project. The emphasis on the xIL techniques and the rapid prototyping methods occurs during the project. The students build chosen mechatronic system or subsystem during project realization.
